ABOUT: John is a self taught photographer living in Haverhill NH. He has always loved the outdoors, and all the creatures that inhabit it. His passion is nature and wildlife photography. To him, there is absolutely nothing like spending time photographing new loon parents and their chicks on a quiet pond, or studying and photographing one of the many beautiful and rustic barns that dot the New England countryside. He strives to create images that tell a story, or depict a special moment in time. ARTIST STATEMENT: I hope my images enable you to share in my passion. Whether you are here looking for an image to purchase or license, or just stopping by to browse, I hope you find inspiration in what you discover. I invite you to connect...

John, gorgeous capture. f/l
Debbie Nester
Where did you find this bird, if I may ask?
John Vose replied:
Hi Debbie, I found him along the Pompanoosuc river flats in Norwich Vermont. They tend to be very shy and move about in or near cover. This one happened to pop up on this perch and shortly thereafter grabbed a fish.
