Where did you find this bird, if I may ask?
John Vose replied:
Hi Debbie, I found him along the Pompanoosuc river flats in Norwich Vermont. They tend to be very shy and move about in or near cover. This one happened to pop up on this perch and shortly thereafter grabbed a fish.
