The Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus), is the national bird of the United States. Its preferred habitat is near seacoasts, rivers, large lakes, oceans, and other large bodies of open water. This Eagle was photographed on the Vermont side of the Wilder Dam in Lebanon NH.
